Selecting Cantilever & Pipe Racks

Open-front, single- or double-sided storage for pipes, tubes, bars, timber and long profiles. Arm positions and spacing depend on the stiffness and length of the stored material.

Bundle dimensions and weight, load per arm, arm length and spacing, upright height, levels, single/double-sided layout and handling method.

How to choose cantilever & pipe racks

1. List material lengths, bundle weights and the stiffness/support needs of the stored goods.
2. Specify load per arm and required arm length, pitch and number of levels.
3. Choose single- or double-sided access with forklift/crane operating space.
4. Review arm/upright/base connections, anchoring, end stops and the floor design.

Materials, finish and order scope

Agree the steel construction, shelf/deck arrangement, reinforcement, surface treatment, colour and accessories for the use and environment. Required load per level and the heaviest individual item must be reviewed separately.Approval before manufacture: Final dimensions, load ratings, connections, stability, anchors and floor/support conditions require approval for the selected configuration.
